a totally new way of controlling mobile computing devices – called
Kord® Interface Technology (Kord® IT). The

Science (AIMS) in 1993 to enable research divers to control the WetPC
underwater computer.
WetPC been operating for approximately 4 years and is privately owned and operated. It has an exclusive worldwide licence from AIMS to exploit Kord® IT, which has been protected by patents lodged in some 20 countries. WetPC has undertaken projects for a number of clients both within Australia and overseas. It intends to become a world leader in the provision of innovative products, ideas and intellectual property for mobile computers and electronic devices.
OHAITECH principal Daniel Mailman is a linguist, a computer scientist, and the inventor of two input technologies: the CHIME technology for Asian languages, and the OHAI technology for mobile, handheld, and wireless devices.
In 1998, Daniel filed patent applications, then designed and developed commercial prototypes. In 2001, Daniel received the U.S. patent, filed international patent applications, formed OHAITECH, and began business development.
For Asian languages, OHAI was able to adapt CHIME to handheld devices with no loss of typing speed, and then, for European languages, OHAI finalized the OHAI Technology, which enables non-Asian input at speeds rivalling standard keyboards.
During the same period, OHAITECH completed market research, usability studies (with the Rice University Computer-Human Interaction Laboratory), and intellectual property development utilizing seed funding. OHAITECH is currently in negotiations to license the CHIME and OHAI technologies to leading international manufactures and developers of mobile, wireless, and handheld devices and Asian language PCs.
