WetPC P/L and Nautronix Ltd join forces

In June 2000 Nautronix Ltd signed a sub-licence agreement with WetPC P/L to utilise Kord® IT in the next generation of underwater computers. Nautronix Ltd + is a specialised marine electronics company based in Fremantle, Western Australia. Nautronix Ltd is known for developing advanced technology and designs, it manufactures and distributes products worldwide.


The state-of-the-art underwater computers will be either diver wearable or hand-held and have the latest technology accessories including digital compass, depth/temperature sensors, and digital camera. To increase functionality and meet the requirements of some market segments, Nautronix Ltd will incorporate some of its own proprietary technologies including through water acoustic communications and hydroacoustic navigation systems.



The teaming of WetPC P/L and Nautronix Ltd is an excellent synergy of knowledge and skills which will result in the production of a new generation of underwater computer platform with commercial, military and recreational applications.

Currently we are working with renowned Sydney design house Tiller & Tiller + to produce the first SCUBA prototypes of this exciting new handheld diving technology. It is anticipated that units will be in the water by early 2002.
