using a chordic Graphic User Interface GUI, suited to wearable and handheld, onehanded mobile computing devices.

Kord® Java Controls

This experimental Java applet demonstrates a Kord® IT interface as it might be implemented on a small hand-held computer screen. The device would have buttons around its edge to control the interface.

The interface uses short ASCII glyphs. These are hand glyphs that are as compact as possible. Redundant fingers have been removed. For example \. is just the thumb, _| is just the index finger and .| is just the little finger. To work the demo use the Space J K L ;/ keys on your keyboard, note that the chord presses only activate when you release all your fingers.

If you are confused we suggest you have a look at some of the other demos on our site first.
