The Chordic Graphic User Interface,
which is owned by the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS),
has been protected through lodgement of patent applications in some 30 different
countries. The patent deals with a Human Machine Interface (HMI) which embodies
the concept of "what you see, is what you press" (WYSIWYP).
